This site is really now just a memorial site, sort of remembering back to the approximately year long life span of a church planting effort in north central Massachusetts...as well as being an idea in one guy’s head for an unlikely possibility in the future. The vision for Logos underwent major revision when we lost our first meeting place Easter of 2009. But instead, before the church would have been re-launched with this “Logos Reloaded” vision, God showed us in various ways that He decided to “pull the plug” on this new church. The new vision would have been as follows: on the 1st Sunday of the month have a typical Logos music & message type church service but with pizza together prior....”Pizza & Presentation” Sunday. The 2nd Sunday of the month would have been a gathering with possibly a little bit of music and a little bit of scripture reading but with a huge emphasis on prayer....”Prioritized Prayer” Sunday. The 3rd Sunday of the month would have been a Lord’s Supper (as a full meal) together followed by a time of everyone in the body bringing something God is showing them or doing in their life...a short teaching, a song, a prophecy, a confession, a question, a scripture, a testimony, a prayer request, a need, a piece of church business, etc...anything that would edify the body (see 1 Corinthians 14:26,31)...”Pot-luck and Participation” Sunday. The 4th Sunday would have been a time to actually DO SOMETHING as a church...serving together to fulfill a need within our body or in the community, helping a need of someone we know about or to do servant evangelism (see message “Conspiracy of Kindness”)...a “Put it into Practice” Sunday, if you will. However, as of June 2009 we’ve called it quits. We are no longer meeting in any organized fashion as a “church” at this time. Our music and messages page has video/audio clips of what was our teaching and music during the time we used to meet. As long as we continue to fund the website, new teachings and other media or video links may still be added from time to time but they’ll be generated in “home studio” fashion rather than generated by recording a live church service presentation. If you would like to contact us with comments or questions (or just to contact us) as you browse around our web site please click here to email us with your question and we will try to get back to you quickly with any information/answer you’re looking for. At Logos Church we didn’t expect you to be or live a certain way to try and connect with us or investigate Christian community. We wanted you to simply be yourself as you consider what or who you want to live for and how you want to live your life. We also desired to simply be ourselves and be real so you could see that we’re regular imperfect people just like you. Church shouldn’t be boring but should allow for humor and laughter. We want church to be fun and entertaining because we believe God is and that He designed us to enjoy Him and to enjoy the life He’s given us. If you’re wondering “What does Logos mean?” It is the Greek term for 'Word'. To see more of an explanation on why we are using this name, check out our core values section. With all that said, we must be open and honest about the fact that we were, and still are, people seeking to know, love, and follow Jesus. We realize that God had a plan of salvation through Jesus to rescue us and that we need Jesus to be saved. What do you think about Jesus? We encourage you to explore your answer to this question. Email us if we can encourage you or help you in any way in your search. |
